A mosquito repellent device is an outdoor unit meant to sit near where you actually spend the evening: a patio table, a pergola, a strip of lawn by the back door. Many houses have a small paved area, a few pots and a fence line. The unit has to cover that sitting spot, not an imaginary acre.
On a visit we walk the yard at the height people sit, not from the street. We look at how open the space is, where the breeze comes from, and whether the unit would blow toward neighbours or sit in a dead corner.
